Welcome to the Vogue Theatre—providing entertainment to Fernie since 1908.
Similar to the town of Fernie, the Vogue Theatre has a long and storied past dating back to its birth as the Grand Theatre. It quickly became a meeting place and an alternative to the drinking and gambling establishments of the time. Over 100 years later, and as the Elk Valley’s only movie theatre, the Vogue remains an integral part of the Valley, offering family-oriented entertainment.
Located on Fernie’s historic downtown main street, the Vogue shows first-run movies, usually at 7 & 9 pm nightly (check listings for more information), and now features $5 matinees on Saturday and Sunday at 3 pm. The theatre regularly hosts film festivals, special screenings and the monthly Indie Films Fernie. We try hard to maintain affordable pricing so that families and community members have an option for a reasonably priced night out. Ask our staff about the family rate.
The Vogue recently underwent an extensive indoor renovation, which transformed the look, feel and function of the building, and seriously improved the movie-going experience. While the look is an update, it was also important for us to pay tribute to the Vogue’s 100-year history and maintain the atmosphere of our mountain-town, community-based theatre.
EXCITING NEWS! The next phase in the Vogue’s update is now complete. The eagerly anticipated arcade is now open on our second floor. The Elk Valley’s largest video-game emporium boasts more than 50 games, including Dance Dance Revolution, foosball, air hockey and a pool table. You can visit the arcade during regular theatre hours 6:30 pm to 10 pm on weekdays and 2:30pm to 10:00pm on weekends (subject to private bookings), or book this incredible space for your next private function or birthday party.
Thanks to our staff and our loyal customers, the Vogue Theatre is ready for the next 100 years!
Thanks for visiting and we hope to see you soon.
